Fix-it Friday

Every Friday at iheartfaces they have fix-it Fridays where they give you a picture and you have to edit it. Ussually I am really busy and dont have time to participate but this week I did. Below is the origional... Normally I would have used photoshop to edit it but I didnt have access to it at the time that I edited the picture so I used picnik. My edited photo is below...
I like how you can really see how his hair looks gelled up and his eyes look really blue. And to me his face looked happy but a little michevious so I thought the quote would fit perfectly. And its very true!

Completely Candid

This week at iheartfaces the category is Completely Candid. So i looked through all my pictures and I found this one...

This is a picture of my friend Emily. This summer I went with her and a group from my church to Guatemala for 10 days! It was so amazing! While on the trip it was her birthday. When we told all the kids it was her birthday they ran and dog piled her with hugs while screaming "Feliz Cumpleanos". It was so cute! And this picture is completely candid. And this is the picture of just three kids hugging her. You should have seen it when everyone was hugging her! It was so cute!

contemplative.

This week at i heart faces the category is contemplative. So i was going through my photos trying to choose what picture to use. And I found this one...

This picture is of Matt and Ben choosing what to eat from the big smoking pile of Frogmore Stew in front of them. Frogmore Stew is an event that our church has every Labor Day. We cook shrimp, kielbasa, corn, and potatoes in big pots with a lot of Old Bay seasoning and then we dump it all on to the tables and EAT! I thought this photo was good because they are thinking about the food that want to grab and put in front of them before they pig out on it.

The other category this week is Pets. I found this photo for the Pets category...

This is a photo of a dog trying to get out of a pool. You may be wondering why the dog is in the pool in the first place. Well this weekend my dad, brother, and I took our dog to doggie swim day at our neighborhood pool. There were dogs everywhere swimming and having fun! Our dog on the other hand hated the water, especially when my dad forced her in. It was a great photo opportunity because there were dogs everywhere swimming. This dog was trying to get out and he was standing on his hind legs and trying to push himself out but he just couldn't do it. So his owner had to pull him out.

Nostalgia

This week at iheartfaces the challenge was Nostalgia. When i saw this challenge I wasnt really sure what Nostalgia meant so I looked it up. My favorite definition was "A bittersweet longing for things, persons, or situations of the past." This is slightly hard for me because I am young. So my friend Rachel and I had a photo shoot with old stuff we could find. The picture below was my favorite. I love CocaCola and I wish they still sold them in glass bottles. They look so cool and I personally think Coke tastes better in a glass bottle.

At the Beach

This week at i heart faces the theme was at the beach. I was so happy because my family and I had just gone to Virginia Beach and I had taken many pictures :) This is the one I like the best.

Sports in Action

This week at iheartfaces is sports in action. I have a lot but once I flipped through them I realized that some of them arent very good at all but the one below is of my brother Clay. He was running a one mile fun run while my dad was doing the Allen Stone Run Swim Run at Virginia Beach.

The other category was Pets. So this is a picture of my friends dog, Sassy. She is a long haired doxen. She is very cute :)

Just for Fun

This week on i heart faces the contest was wedding pictures. I didn't have any wedding pictures. I have been to many weddings and I love going to weddings but I never have taken any pictures. So i decided to post two pictures for the Just For Fun category that isn't judged. So here are the pictures...

This one is of my brother Clay. I love this picture. It makes me laugh every time I see it. He tried on our friend Marks glasses and started making funny pictures.

This one is of my friend Rachel. We were at a park on a huge rock. I really like this picture and she looked really cute. I love how the sun is shining.

Week 23: Sepia Toned

This week was sepia toned. I really like this one because I could take any photo and change it to sepia. But the ones I chose to enter looked the best in sepia.

The Kids Category:

I picked this picture of my sister, Emily for the kids category. This is when we went on a walk to downtown Leesburg. I thought this was just so cute, natural, and captured emily really well.

The Adult Category:

This is a picture of my Uncle Vince. I am not sure when or why I took this picture but I like it and I think it has character.

Week 21 Photo Challenge

This week I have entered the pets catagory at I heart faces. The theme was "Anything Goes." I was flipping through some pictures of all my pets and found this cute one of my dog Gigi.

I was also going to enter the kids section of the contest which was to the theme of "Happy Birthday" but unfortunately I didn't have any good photos...oh well.
